Wedding Photos Update

Hi everyone!

Has it been a month since our wedding? Wow, time really flies! It seems like yesterday when we just got engaged. We are still very excited about our new life together and are enjoying every minute of it.

The wedding photos turned out to be great! Everyone looks fantastic in them. We picked a portion from 800+ pictures, and put them in two albums - ceremony and reception . Hope you enjoy them! If you don't see the slideshows on the first try, please refresh the page and wait a couple of minutes. You can also download group photos.

We will be sharing more updates on this blogging site, so please come back and visit sometimes! Also please feel free to look around and leave your comments for us.

Love,
Yi-Li and Michael

Our First Dance

Given we met through ballroom dancing, we wanted to do something special for our first dance. Our first dance music is "Open Arms" by Mariah Carey. The melody (a Waltz) and the vocal are just perfect - it is such a beautiful song.

The choreography was designed by our talented dance instructor Pete Stylianos. We really enjoyed this elegant routine and the 2.5 months of practice was well worth it! During this time we not only learned how to dance together on the dance floor, but also in real life through the ups and downs.

Since we are still waiting for the professional videos (which probably will take a few more months), we are sharing our practice video (filmed by Pete). This is the "original form" of the dance without Yi-Li's big, heavy dress and hair! It is sure a lot lighter and easier to dance in casual clothes!

Open Arms by Mariah Carey

Lying beside you here in the dark
Feeling your heart beat with mine
Softly you whisper
You're so sincere
How could our love be so blind

We sailed on together
We drifted apart
And here you are by my side

So now I come to you with open arms
Nothing to hide
Believe what I say
So here I am with open arms
Hoping you'll see what your love means to me
Open arms

Living without you
Living alone
This empty house seems so cold
Wanting to hold you
Wanting you near
How much I wanted you home

But now that you've come back
Turned night into day
I need you to stay

So now I come to you with open arms
Nothing to hide
Believe what I say
So here I am with open arms
Hoping you'll see what your love means to me
Open arms

Honeymoon Videos & Photos

Dear family and friends,

Hope all is well! We came back from our honeymoon last week. Time sure flies while we are having fun! Now we are both back to work (certainly against our wishes).

We spent 6 days in Maui and 4 days in Oahu. Unfortunately we got sick for a couple of days, so we didn't get to do everything on our list. But we still managed to include the helicopter ride, dinner cruise, sunrise bike ride down the volcano, snorkeling, luau, tours at U.S.S. Arizona and Missouri Battleship, tour at the Polynesian Culture Center, LOTS of shopping, and WAY too much eating and drinking!! The weather was perfect and we love both the city and nature scenes. This was the perfect way to start our new life together!

Our honeymoon videos and photos are now available! Hope you enjoy them! We are still waiting for the professional wedding photos that should be shared in the next couple of weeks. Some hightlights are already posted on our wedding website, which will be online for a few more months.

We hope everyone is doing well, and we are thinking of you as we appreciate everyday of our new life together. Thank you all again for your love and support!
